Three-time nominees of this year’s Grammy Awards, and winners of the Best Metal Performance Grammy for their song “God Is Dead?,” the Godfathers of Heavy Metal are stating they will consider a new album in the future.
The three reunited Black Sabbath members, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Tony Iommi, talked to Rolling Stone after the Grammy’s about the possibility of a new album. Osbourne stated, “We’re going back on the road. We haven’t really spoken about it beyond that. I’m down for it.” When asked about it as well guitarist Tony Iommi stated, “Absolutely.”
The newly reunited Sabbath featured three of the four original members on the album 13, and toured extensively around the world in 2013. The band is gearing up for another North American tour, focusing more on Canada having dates scattered through Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta, with U.S. dates in New York and Los Angeles, California in late April. In May they head out to Europe and beyond with dates in Abu Dhabi, Russia, Sweden, Germany and Italy.
