Former Everybody Loves Raymond actor Brad Garrett has been selected to host the Writers Guild of America Awards West Coast ceremony.

He will host the event in Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the JW Marriott, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The ceremony will be webcast through the Los Angeles Times' website. Colin Quinn will be hosting the East Coast ceremony in New York.

Garrett commented on hosting, "Writers have always been the backbone of our business, and I'm thrilled to be able to celebrate their big night -- plus, I have two hours left to complete my community service."

The tall actor most recently has been guest starring on CBS' The Crazy Ones and was on the short-lived ABC comedy How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life).

The nominations were announced earlier this month, with Spike Jonze's Her, David O. Russell and Eric Warren Singer's American Hustle, Craig Borten and Melissa Wallack's Dallas Buyers Club, Bob Nelson's Nebraska and Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine up for best Original Screenplay.

One Oscar contender 12 Years A Slave was ruled to be ineligible for the adapted screenplay category. Philomena and Fruitvale Station were also not nominated as the films' writers are not members of the WGA.
