Actors Jason Segel and Kevin Costner are celebrating their birthday's today.
Jason Segel, 34
Actor, screenwriter, songwriter, singer, and musician Jason Segel turns 34 today. His first major role was as Nick Andopolis, a stoner "freak" on the 1999 NBC series Freaks and Geeks. He went on to star in other television shows including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Undeclared. Segel gained attention after playing the lead role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall in 2008. He then went on to star in hits including I Love You, Man, Despicable Me, Bad Teacher, The Muppets, and The Five-Year Engagement Plan. Segel is also an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, and performed a wedding ceremony on The Tonight Show in 2010.
Segel currently stars as Marshall Eriksen on the hit CBS comedy series How I Met You Mother. He originally planned to star until the end of his contract in 2013, but decided to stay until the series ends in March 2014.
Kevin Costner, 59
Actor, singer, musician, producer, and director Kevin Costner turns 59 today. Costner made his film debut in Malibu Hot Summer (released as Sizzle each, U.S.A. in 1986). He has also starred in major roles including Dances with Wolves, JFK, The Bodyguard, Tin Cup, Man of Steel and most recently Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. In his career, Costner has won two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, an Emmy Award, and has been nominated for three British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards.
For his role in the television miniseries Hatfields & McCoys, Costner won an Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG award. Costner is also the singer in Kevin Costner & Modern West, a country singing group that began in 2007. Costner married German-American model and handbag designer, Christine Baumgartner, in September 2004. The two have three kids together.
