Last year, General Mills drew attention for a Cheerios commercial that featured an interracial family. Now, that family is back and taking an even bigger stage this time: the Super Bowl.

The original commercial debuted in May 2013 and was called “Just Checking.” Although interracial families have become more accepted in the U.S., the YouTube video drew so many racist and negative comments that the comments section was closed. The video has been viewed over 4.6 million times since and the comments section is still disabled.

“Just Checking” is still shown on TV and was such a success that the family is coming back. According to AdWeek, the new commercial was created by Saatchi & Saatchi of New York and was posted on Wednesday.

While the new ad, titled “Gracie” after the daughter’s name, could have made note of the controversial first spot, it instead focuses on her father using Cheerios to explain that she has a baby brother coming. Gracie pushes over another Cheerio, hinting that she wants a dog. Her father says yes, but her mother looks a little hesitant.
