The Coachella festival which features acts such as, Outkast, Arcade Fire and Muse, sold out within three hours of tickets going on sale. This was a new record for the three-day festival which takes place in California.

Billboard reported that the event was sold out within 2 hours and 37 minutes. Back in 2012, the event was sold out in just under three hours. In 2012, headliners included Red Hot Chili Peppers and Phenoix.

This years line up features, Arcade Fire, Lorde, Calvin Harris, Zedd, Girl Talk, Ellie Goulding, Foster the People, Pet Shop Boys, Queens of the Stone Age, Skrillex, Sleigh Bellsa and Haim, along with many other artists. The three day line up is packed with acts every single hour.

This years festival will also feature a moment in musical history. CNN reported that Outkast will reunite for the festival. Outkast is known for their singles, "Miss Jackson," "Roses" and "Hey Ya.'

Coachella 2014 will be held over two weekends, April 11-13 and 18-20th.
