Authorities are still looking for a convicted murder, who escaped a psychiatric facility on Tuesday.

According to the New York Daily News, the search for Raymond Morillo continues after police say he escaped the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center located in the borough of Queens in New York City.

Authorities learned that the 33-year-old allegedly switched clothes with a friend in order to leave.

This is a major breach as the hospital is supposed to be a secure facility that patients cannot voluntarily walk in and out of.

The New York Post has noted that Morillo was busted in 1998 for attacking and disfiguring two men with razors blades on a subway platform. He was arrested again while out on bail for the murder of Jose Paulino. The convicted killer was ultimately deemed dangerous and sent to the psychiatric institute.

Police have said that Morillo is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Residents of the Queen Village area are understandably on edge and will be until he is captured.
