Former Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn will release his new album, Everyday Robots, on Apr. 28.

Everyday Robots is Albarn’s debut solo album. The first track will be released on Mar. 3. It contains 12 songs including “Everyday Robots,” “Parakeet,” and “Heavy Seas of Love.” It is being released under the Warner Music umbrella, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Live footage from his shows in Los Angeles will also be released with the album.

The Engllish singer-songwriter paired with XL Records chief, Richard Russell, to make the new album. According to Rolling Stone, Albarn said, “Making a solo record is can be such a disaster, so I thought if we're going to make a record with my name on it, I should get someone to really produce it – take that responsibility away from myself. Richard does the kind of rhythmic side of it and I do everything else.”

Albarn has taken on numerous projects over the years, including large-scale work inspired by opera. His Monkey: Journey to the West was seen this past summer at Lincoln Center after the dazzling show captivated audiences in London.
