David O. Russell is wasting no time in making sure that he gets to work with Jennifer Lawrence again. Even though the actress is just 23, she has continued to excel at playing older characters for her Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle director and she could do just that again. Russell is reportedly in talks to take an untitled Fox 2000 project about successful Long Island businesswoman Joy Mangano.

Russell is in early negotiations with the studio to helm the project and rewrite the script, which was originally penned by Bridesmaids’ Annie Mumolo, reports Deadline. No actress is signed, but Russell wants Lawrence, who he directed to a Best Actress Oscar win in Silver Linings, to play Mangano.

According to TheWrap, the project is being produced by John Fox and John Davis.

Mangano’s story is the rise of a single mother of three to one of America's most successful businesswomen. She invented the Miracle Mop and Huggable Hangers, which became HSN staples.

While Lawrence has every reason to work with a director who has helped her get an Oscar and another Oscar nomination this year, she has plenty of other projects on the horizon. She’s still signed to play Mystique in Fox’s X-Men films and has to finish production on Lionsgate’s final Hunger Games movies. Lawrence is also set to do two projects with her first Hunger Games director, Gary Ross - East of Eden and Burial Rites.

As for Russell, he’s had success in recent years almost unheard of in Hollywood. Starting with The Fighter, he’s earned best Director Oscar nods in three of the past four years, although he’s yet to win.
