Disney's Frozen has been dominating the box office this holiday season and it seems that this is only the start for the animated feature.
Disney confirmed that they will be turning Frozen into a musical production for the stage.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Frozen is in early development for the stage.

Disney CEO and chairman Bob Iger spoke to Fortune magazine and explained that "“We’re not demanding speed, we’re demanding excellence," said Iger when asked about a timeline for the upcoming musical adaptation.

The company is also producing The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the stage. This project has been in product for quite some time.

Frozen stars Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff. Frozen has not only broke box office records but the soundtrack to the animated featured just reached number one on the Billboard charts. The soundtrack features hit songs like "Let It Go" and "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?"

It has also been rumored that the development of a theme park attraction at Disney’s EPCOT Center for Frozen will be underway shortly, but that has not yet been confirmed by Disney.
