DreamWorks Animation is planning on extending and increase their relationship with YouTube. The animation company will a series of daily shows that will highlight the best of entertainment news. The series will be featured on YouTube.
The LA Times reported that the show will be called "YouTube" nation and will be produced in five minute segments. The series is set to be launched starting as early as next week.
The series will be produced by DreamWorks Animation and YouTube, which is financing the video production.
YouTube will be heavily involved in all aspect of production on the "YouTube Nation" programming. This is unlike most partnerships with YouTube where the live streaming company offers the partner most of the creativity in regards to production and content.
This is the first kind of partnership like this for DreamWorks Animation and YouTube. YouTube is highly interested in new entertainment programming and building a larger relationship with Hollywood, Investor Place reported.
YouTube attracts over 1 billion fans a month.
