Emily Mortimer and Julianne Nicholson are the latest to join the cast for Ten Thousand Saints.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, who first reported the casting, Mortimer and Nicholson join a cast that also features Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Emile Hirsch and Ethan Hawke.
The film, which is adapted from the Eleanor Henderson novel, is a coming of age story set in the Lower East Side in New York during the 1980s. Saints focuses on three young adults and their parents ahead of the Tompkins Square Riots. The film is being directed by Bob Pulcini and Shari Berman.
Mortimer, who stars in the HBO show The Newsroom, will play a ballerina who is the mother of Steinfeld's character and is dating Hawke's character. Nicholson is set to play Butterfield's mother and Hawke's ex-wife.
Variety reports that Hirsch had been cast only just last week.
Hirsch, who starred in Into The Wild, was most recently in the still in theaters film Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg. He was also tapped to play John Belushi in a currently untitled biopic.
Ten Thousand Saints began filming on location in New York on Monday.
