Major League Baseball announced that final approval has been given to expand the replay system and that it will be ready in time for the 2014 season.

The expanded replay will give each team's managers up to two challenges in a game, reports USA Today. If a manager wins their first, they will be eligible for a second challenge.

The crew chief will also be given the chance now to call for a replay after the seventh inning. Calls that can be reviewed include a tag play, outfield trap play, batter hit by pitch, record keeping and others.

"I am very pleased that instant replay will expand to include additional impactful plays," Commissioner Bud Selig in a statement said. "The new system will give managers valuable recourse in potentially game-changing situations."

According to CNN, challenged replays will be conducted out of the Replay Command Center, which will be located in New York. To have a call overturned, the replay officials will need "clear and convincing evidence."

The officials working the game won't be able to see the play reviewed, but the decision will be relayed to them through headsets.

One other new change coming for the new season is that all replays can now be shown on the big screens in the ballparks, even ones not being reviewed.
