The rapper Flavor Flav was on the way to his mother's funeral in New York on Thursday when he was arrested for driving without a license and speeding.
Police said they clocked him going 24 mph over the speed limit, according to The Associated Press. His license has 16 suspensions already.
The N.Y. police say that during the stop, they noticed that he had a "small amount" of weed in his car, reports Billboard. As he was on the way to his mother's funeral, police let him go after arresting him for Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and traffic violations.
The former member of Public Enemy was arrested back in 2002 for driving on a suspended license and then was arrested in 2011 for several misdemeanor warrants on various driving-related issues.
Anna Drayton, Flav's mother, passed away on New Year's Eve. The Hall of Famer has a court date for the Nassau County First District Court at the end of the month on Jan. 28.
