Flood waters are again threatening the already-ravaged Philippines.
According to the Wall Street Journal, at least 13 people were killed and thousands were forced to evacuate after days of rain caused flooding and landslides in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported Monday that the total number of people evacuated was hundreds of thousands.
This comes just two months after Typhoon Haiyan devastated parts of the island and displaced millions of people.
The Associated Press has reported that Haiyan killed more than 6,100 and left nearly 1,800 others missing.
As countries around the world position themselves to help the governor of Davao Oriental, Corazon Malanyaon said that as of now the island is not low on relief goods, but the weather is making it hard to get them out to people.
"We have no problem with relief goods; we have enough," said Gov. Malanyaon. "The problem is distributing them. Our problem is accessibility. Roads are impassable while some bridges are damaged."
