Zach Braff's, Wish I Was Here, has been acquired by Focus Features. The film premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and stars Zach Braff along with Mandy Patinkin. Braff had not brought a film to Sundance since 2004.

Braff spoke about the upcoming partnership with Focus Features and is excitement around this film. "I am very excited to be partnering with Focus Features as they are one of the biggest supporters of independent film in the business," said Braff.

Braff went on to explain that passion and dedication that went into this film. "This is the perfect collaboration for us as they recognize and appreciate how unique our journey has been to get this film made. Their enthusiasm to embrace our Kickstarter backers, while we fulfill our promises and rewards, made them a natural fit. My 46,520 backers are amazingly supportive and without them this film would not be a reality," said Braff.

Wish I Was Here will tell the story of a thirty something male, who finds himself at a major crossroads in life which forces him to look into his life, career and family.

Wish I Was Here stars, Ashley Greene, Kate Hudson, Josh Gad, Donald Faison, Entertainment Weekly reported. Donald Faison and Braff worked together for years on the hit TV comedy, Scrubs.

Wish I Was Here was the follow up project for Braff since he worked on the indie film, Garden State. The project got helped from a very popular Kickstarter campaign, Playbill reported.
