According to the AP, Rocky Mount has seen a high amount of violence, citing that in 2012, the FBI said the rate of murder is twice as much in this town that in New York City. James Gaillard, Preacher of the North Carolina church, said that,"We put the basketball goals up and took the fence down specifically so the community could just walk on the premises and have a safe place to play. That trust has been violated."
Authorities are still looking for a shooter.
