Harrison Ford has agreed to co-star in The Age of Adrenaline, a project starring Blake Lively and Ellen Burstyn.
Lively and Burstyn joined the project back in October. It is a Lionsgate, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Lakeshore Entertainment co-production and Lionsgate has picked up distribution in the U.S., reports TheWrap. Filming will begin in March.
The plot centers on Adaline, a 29-year-old who miraculously survives an accident. As she recovers, she learns that she cannot age and the film followers her life throughout the 20th century and her fateful meeting with a man. J. Mills Goodloe and Salvador Paskowitz penned the first draft and Allison Burnett made revisions.
Lee Toland Krieger is directing and the producers are Sidney Kimmel, Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi.
“We are very excited to be working with Harrison Ford,” Lakeshore president Gary Lucchesi said, notes The Hollywood Reporter. “He's one of the great actors of our time, and will be perfect for the role of William in The Age of Adaline.”
Lionsgate co-chairman Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger added that they are “thrilled” to work with Ford.
Lionsgate and Ford recently worked together on Ender’s Game. He also recently appeared in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, 42 and Paranoia and is set to star in The Expendables 3. He’s also rumored to be in Star Wars: Episode VII, but that’s not confirmed yet.
