The legendary blues and soul singer Janis Joplin has taken over Broadway but now the show is leaving Broadway. For fans of the Broadway show, they should not worry the show will be staying around New York City.

Billboard reported that producers of 'A Night With Janis Joplin, will end its run at the Lyceum Theatre in February and they hope that it can reopen-off Broadway.

'A Night With Janis Joplin' featured the performances of Mary Bridget Davies in the lead role and she shocked audiences with her vocal ability and how she embraced not only Joplin's musical scene but spirit.

The producers released a statement regarding the show closing; "We are finalizing a wonderful option to move to another venue in New York City. Our intention is to solidify our new location in the next few weeks and to reopen in March."

The show opened back in October but the audience has been half full for most of the performances, the AP added.

The show has been well received by critics mostly because of Davies performance during the show.
