Jessica Simpson is preparing for her wedding to fiancé of three years Eric Johnson and she says she’s using the wedding as motivation for her weight loss after two kids.

Simpson, who now has daughter Maxwell, 20 months, and son Ace, 6 months, with Johnson, appeared in a promo for the Weight Watchers’ Simple Start program and talked about working hard to lose the baby weight after Ace.

“The new year will definitely bring on the wedding bells, which is exciting … I think it’s about time,” she said in the ad, People reports. “Knowing that I have the wedding coming up is an incentive to stay on Weight Watchers, count my points and stay in the gym. I mean, when you see my dress, you’ll know.”

The mother of two also talked about setting New Year’s resolutions, advising anyone who’s doing it to set a realistic goal for themselves.

“I think if you do set resolutions for yourself, it shouldn’t be something grand. I think it should just be about getting started on something and see if you can stick with it,” she said.

She also said of her weight loss journey, “I’m just trying to feel good in a pair of jeans and T-shirt.”

Simpson had to put her Weight Watchers deal on hold in 2012 after she got pregnant with her son. She and Johnson officially announced they were expecting their second child on Christmas Day that year. She lost over 50 pounds following the program after giving birth to Maxwell.
