All seven of Kanye West’s albums have now been certified at least Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, since the organization certified Yeezus as Platinum today.
The Platinum award means that the album has shipped at least 1 million copies, although it doesn’t confirm that 1 million copies have actually been sold. Still, Complex notes that it does mean that all seven of West’s solo albums have won the award.
The RIAA announced the news on Twitter, congratulating the rapper and his label, Def Jam.
Congratulations to @kanyewest on his 7th @RIAA #Platinum album award for ‘Yeezus” – he’s 7 for 7! W @DefJamRecords

Yeezus got off to a great start, but has been a slow seller since. The album debuted in June at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart with 327,000 copies, the lowest debut sales week in his career. The album then fell behind J. Cole’s Born Sinner, which topped the chart two weeks later. Complex notes that by Sept. 18, 2013, Born Sinner eclipsed Yeezus in sales.
West is still promoting Yeezus, though. Earlier this month, he announced more tour dates for February, bringing the complicated Yeezus shows to Baltimore, Long Island, Atlantic City and more East Coast locations.
