Celebrities reflecting on the Grammy Awards have begun to share their sentiment about the awards ceremony.
In a recent interview, hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar explained how he felt about fellow hip-hop artist, Macklemore, and his Grammy victory. According to the Associated Press, Lamar told XXL magazine," It's well-deserved. He did what he did, man. He went out there and hustled and grinded. Everything happens for a reason. The universe comes back around. That's how it go."
Lamar was nominated this year for seven Grammys including Best Rap Album. His album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city was a breakthrough effort. Days after the Grammys, Lamar acknowledged fellow artist, Macklemore, who won with Ryan Lewis for best rap album for The Heist. Who would take the award was a subject of much debate. Macklemore wished the best to Lamar before the Grammys, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The conversation continued via text messaging after awards were given out. According to E! online, Macklemore sent a quick text to Lamar after the award was given out. Macklemore told Lamar that he got robbed, explaining that Lamar should have been the one to take home the prize.
