Kristen Stewart has joined a new project, called Still Alice. The project will bring the former Twilight star with Hollywood heavyweights like Alec Baldwin and Julianne Moore. Kate Bosworth has also joined the project.
Still Alice is being directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, the duo who recently directed The Last of Robin Hood. It is based on Lisa Genova’s novel of the same name.
According to TheWrap, the film has Moore playing a professor who discovers she is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Stewart has been cast as her youngest daughter and they begin to bond in ways that they never had time for.
Stewart has been building her resume by taking on more adventurous projects as of late. She recently filmed Camp X-Ray, which earned good reviews at Sundance, notes CinemaBlend. Her other upcoming projects include Sils Maria by Olivier Assayas and Tim Blake Nelson’s Anesthesia.
Still Alice is being financed by BSM Studio and will start filming in March in New York.
