Singer Kylie Minogue admits that a bad day almost blew her chance to work with Pharrell Williams.

WENN reports that Minogue gained studio time with Williams for her new album Kiss Me Once.

"It was a dream come true because I've wanted to work with him for a long time," Minogue told U.K. radio station Capital FM. "I had two days with him, and we did two songs."

However, she explained that she was not having a good day and almost cancelled the meeting altogether. Her bad mood encouraged Williams to write a song for her album.

"Everything was too much!" Minogue said. "So my second day going in I was literally talking to myself saying, 'Keep it together... And then I burst into tears as soon as I got there. That's why he wrote 'I Was Gonna Cancel' because I really didn't feel like going."

USA Today reports that Minogue's new album, Kiss Me Once is set to release Mar. 18. It will be her first album since Aphrodite in 2010.

She plans to return to the dance genre, working with producers like Pharrell, Greg Kurstin (P!nk), MNEK (Bastille) and Enrique Iglesias.

After Billboard reported that Minogue's single, "Into the Blue," leaked early online, Minogue explained that she was happy with the reviews the song received.

"Making this album was quite a journey but I loved it," Minogue said. "I'm thrilled with the response to 'Into The Blue,' and I can't wait for you hear the rest of the record!"
