'N Sync’s Lance Bass has released his first solo single and his first song in over a decade. He collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Bella Blue and Australian singer Anise K.
Bass’ first single in 12 years is a departure from his pop-driven sound with his former band, and it’s considered EDM. The song is written by songwriter, Anise.
According to Vibe, the song is titled “Walking on Air” and will be available on iTunes starting Wednesday.
"For the last two years I've been listening to demos, just trying to figure out if I want to get back in the studio," Bass told E! News about his return to music. "I hadn't heard anything that resonated with me. But a couple of months ago, a track from Anise K landed in my lap from a friend of mine and he was like, 'I think this will be your first song."
As for any performance dates, Bass said he has “zero plans” and he’s just planning on playing it “by ear.”
"I'm going to release it and if people love it, hopefully it will climb the charts,” he said.
Bass saw much success with 'N Sync, which consisted of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone. Together they sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
