Many New Yorkers take busses everyday to get around the busiest streets in the world but on Tuesday local commuters got quite the surprise when Macklemore and Ryan Lewis took over a local bus and performed an impromptu concert.

ABC News reported that the video was uploaded yesterday. The time stamp shows shows that this performance was recorded late last year.

The video opens with the beat of "Can't Hold Us Down" and after the opening notes Macklemore and Ryan Lewis jump up and start their unique performance.

The reaction from commuters on the bus is a mix of excitement and confusion. When they did start to realize what was happening many started to smile and take out cell phones to record the moment.

MTV reported that the video is being used as an online spot for promotional use for the upcoming Grammy awards.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are nominated for this years Grammy awards and are still shocked by the recognition. ""Up until a year, a year and a half ago, we were an underground rapper that only a small percentage of the population had heard," said Macklemore.
