Miley Cyrus will reportedly have a very special guest joining her for her upcoming MTV Unplugged special. Madonna, who took part in the Grammys wedding ceremony Sunday night, has signed on to appear with the Bangerz signer.
Sources for The Hollywood Reporter said that the Material Girl is one of the ‘special guests’ MTV promised. E! News also confirmed that Madonna is set to appear during the special, which is set to be taped on Tuesday.
MTV announced plans for the Cyrus Unplugged special last week, promising to “showcase a more intimate side of” the “Wrecking Ball” singer. The setlist will reportedly stretch from Cyrus’ early material to Bangerz, plus possible covers to surprise the audience.
Cyrus was noticeably absent during the Grammys Sunday, but Madonna was front and center. She took part in the wedding ceremony during Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Same Love” performance. Queen Latifah was on hand to preside over the marriages.
Cyrus will also be going on tour, starting on Feb. 14. Her Unplugged special airs on Wednesday at 9 p.m.
