Miley Cyrus is starring in Marc Jacobs’ spring campaign, after collaborating with the designer on the “Protect the Skin You’re In” T-shirt campaign. However, there’s at least one person who didn’t want any part in it, and that’s photographer Juergen Teller.

Instead of Teller, who usually shoots Jacobs’ collection campaigns, it was David Sims who shot it. Jacobs has revealed to WWD that Teller refused to shoot with the “Wrecking Ball” singer.

“I have worked with Juergen for years and love him as an artist. He just didn’t want to shoot her,” he explained.

Cyrus revealed a sneak peak of the campaign on her Twitter page, retweeting the brand’s original tweet, “Secret's out, @MileyCyrus stars in the MJ SS14 Campaign shot by David Sims! An exclusive look at the full ad.”

She, herself, tweeted:

Jacobs revealed that he met Cyrus, 21, through is business partner Robert Duffy. “Robert became friends with Miley a few years ago, and I know her through him. I met her years ago at Robert’s birthday party in Savannah and we became friendly,” he said.

He had nothing but praise for her, saying “We all just love her and her entire being, her energy, her talent, her intelligence, everything. There’s nothing I don’t like about her. She is just genuine and very natural.”
