With so many folks in Hollywood focused Best Picture nominees like American Hustle before the Oscars, some celebrities are turning their attention toward shorter films. Martin Freeman, known for his work in The Hobbit, is waiting to see if his short film, The Voorman Problem, will win the Oscar this year.

In The Voorman Problem, Martin Freeman plays Doctor Williams. In the Oscar nominated short, Doctor Williams is called in to examine Mr. Voorman, a prisoner who thinks he is a god. The short also stars Tom Hollander, Simon Griffiths, and Elisabeth Gray. Mark Gill directed the short film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie also received a nomination from the British Academy of Film and Television in 2013. It was the winner of Best Screenplay in the Corona Fastnet Film Festival in Ireland.

Martin Freeman has also starred in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Animals Svengali, The World’sEnd. He has also been seen on the small screen in Sherlock. He will co-star in the FX’s adaptation of Fargo, according to Variety.
