Singer, Miley Cyrus, performed in the “Unplugged” series on MTV but with a new twist, it was country themed.

Over the years, the “Unplugged” series has had hosts such as Mariah Carey and Florence and the Machine. On Wednesday night, Cyrus was the host. Cyrus was letting her Nashville roots shine when she performed one of her hits, “Bangerz” but with a country twist to it.

As previously reported by Billboard, "We're trying to bring Nashville here and get people in the country spirit," Cyrus said on sound stage at Sunset Gower Studios on Tuesday evening.

Los Angeles Times has reported that she started the show by running onstage in a bodysuit, a blonde bob, and cowboy boots. She was joined onstage with two men in horse costumes who were twerking. She opened up the show with a new rendition of “4X4.”

The singer was joined by pop sensation, Madonna, who was also dressed in country attire. Madonna performed her hit “Don’t Tell Me,” while sitting in the audience. It soon transitioned into Cyrus’ hit from this past summer “We Can’t Stop.” At one point during the performance, Madonna even gave Cyrus a small smack on her behind.

It was a memorable performance and Cyrus performed everything off of her newly released album Bangerz. She left a lasting impression on “Unplugged” that will be hard to follow up.
