On January 25th, The world will get a preview of the new Grammy Awards-inspired watch. The annual award show partnered with Gucci to create a one-of-a-kind watch that will incorporate elements of both companies into one classy time teller.
This new piece of wrist candy will be Gucci’s first digital watch. It will have a yellow steel frame with rubber straps, either in black or white, with the Grammy logo and the Gucci logo on both sides of the face. There are also watches available with diamonds outlining the face for those who want some extra flash, and a watch with leather bands instead of rubber.
The watch, designed by Gucci Creative Director, Frida Giannini, also comes with a dog tag in either black or white, designed to mirror the watch. Previous Grammy nominee, Janelle Monae, will help introduce the watch the day before The 2014 Grammy Awards at an exclusive party at The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California. The special edition Gucci watch will be available in February in stores and online. While it runs for over $1000, the watch is sure to be a success for Gucci and The Grammy Awards.
