The late Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard's estate recently made a deal with Four Screens Productions to bring his family to the small screen.
Ol' Dirty Bastard, born Russell Jones, succumbed to a drug overdose in 2004 at the age of 35.
According to The Boombox, Messiah Jacobs, president of Four Screens, stated in a press release: “Although his life was cut short, there is still more work to do. His fans want to see more and hear more, and with Four Screens’ creative background, the Estate can give them just that.”
Although O.D.B.'s estate is just now signing a deal with the company, this is not the first time they have worked together. Hip Hop DX reported that the company assisted the late rapper's widow and the manager of his estate land a deal with Rock the Bells for a hologramed performance from the rapper with the Wu-Tang Clan in 2013. His son, Boy Jones (also referred to as Young Dirty Bastard because of his resemblance to his father), was also featured in the performance.
