After receiving an Oscar for her role in Precious, actress Mo'Nique took a four year break. Mo'Nique has now reemerged and is signed on to be a part of a new film.

The film will be titled, Blackbird and she is set to star opposite Isaiah Washington. Washington is known for his role on the ABC drama, Grey's Anatomy but due to racially charged comments was asked to leave the show.

Hit Fix reported that the film will be an adaptation of the 2006 novel by Larry Duplechan.

The story will focus on Randy Rousseau Walker, a 17-year-old choir boy living with his family in a small town of Mississippi. Walker is dealing with his status of being an outcast in the religious driven community while he is being plagued by a series of disturbing premonitions.

She will also be an executive producer along with her husband, Sidney Hicks Deadline added.

Mo'Nique is known for her work on The Parkers and Phat Girlz but stunned audiences with her role in Precious.
