Outkast's former manager, Queen Latifah, confirms that the duo will be recording a new album.
According to the Huffington Post, Latifah told Howard Stern on his radio show that the two are working on a new album together.
"They're chilling, they're doing their thing," Latifah said. "They're doing movies and they're about to work on a new album."
Outkast recently announced that they will be performing at over 40 festivals in honor of their 20th anniversary, E! News reports.
"I am thankful to have been a part of a group that allowed me to explore anything that came to mind and have fun doing it," André "André 3000" Benjamin said on their website. "Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast."
The announcement came shortly after news that Outkast will be headlining the 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA in April. The two will also be performing in June at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE along with the Foo Fighters, Jack Johnson, Imagine Dragons and The Lumineers.
2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Outkast's debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. Since then the two have released hits like "Miss Jackson" and "Roses," and have also worked on solo albums; André "André 3000" Benjamin released The Love Below in 2003, and Antwan "Big Boi" Patton released Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty in 2010, and Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors in 2012.
