The Recording Academy announced another wave of new performers for the Grammy Awards later this month and Beatles fans will be happy to learn that both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform.
Today’s announcement also confirmed that Taylor Swift will make another appearance during a Grammys ceremony. John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves and Keith Urban were also added.
As if that wasn’t enough, Sara Bareilles has also signed on to perform with Carole King, bringing two generations of female singer/songwriter/pianists together.
This will mark the Grammy debuts for Bareilles, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Musgraves, and Starr.
The Beatles are among the recipients of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards this year, along with the Isley Brothers and Kris Kristofferson. Kristofferson will also be performing with Blake Shelton, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson.
Other Grammy performers include Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Lorde, Katy Perry, Lang Lang, Metallica, Chic’s Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams, Chicago and Robin Thicke.
The Grammys are set for Jan. 26 and will air live on CBS from the Staples Center.
