Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are slated to play at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards this year. The ceremony will air on Jan. 26.
Over the years, the Beatles have been awarded nine Grammys, including Best New Artist in 1964. This year, McCartney has been nominated for several awards including a nod for “Cut Me Some Slack.” The collaboration with Dave Grohl and Krist Noveselic could win the Best Rock Song Award, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The two former Beatles add to a list of star-studded celebrities. Country stars Taylor Swift and Keith Urban are scheduled to perform at the ceremony. John Legend and Macklemore will also be there, as well as Carole King, who was named 2014’s MusiCares Person of the Year. She is scheduled to perform with Sara Bareilles.
Grammy Nominees for 2014 include Jay Z who has a stunning nine nominations. Also hoping to bring home awards are Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, and Justin Timberlake.
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will air live on from the Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Last year’s Grammys drew 28.3 million viewers, according to Variety.
