Fox's Poltergeist remake gets a 2015 release date.
The Wrap reports hat Poltergeist has been scheduled to be released on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015.
The remake of the 1982 Tobe Hooper and Steven Spielberg film will be directed by Sam Raimi and Gail Kenan.
The film will have to compete against another big name, 50 Shades of Grey, opening that same Valentine's Day weekend.
According to Variety, Fox had originally planned for the Nicholas Sparks' drama, The Longest Ride to premier on that date, but moved it in order to avoid the battle between the more popular and anticipated 50 Shades of Grey.
The Longest Ride is now scheduled to be released April 3, 2015.
Fox is also getting ready to release a new R-rated comedy Let's Be Cops on Aug. 13 this year, as well as Night at the Museum 3 on Dec. 19. The third installment of the Planet of the Apes franchise has already been given a release date of July 29, 2016.
