Quentin Tarantino, known for his work as an actor and a director, will preside as the Krewe of Orpheus’ Celebrity Monarch this March.

The Mardi Gras festival in New Orleans is known to boast some of the greatest sights and sounds in the US. This March, in the visual spectacle that rivals many, indie film director Quentin Tarantino will lead the 27 float procession that is themed “The Enchanted World.” Orpheus, one of the city's super krewes, was founded in 1993 by Captain Sonny Borey and celebrity, Harry Connick Jr., according to the Associated Press.

Tarantino is returning to New Orleans after filming his last movie in the city. Tarantino’s Django Unchained, featured Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Django Unchained earned two Oscars last year. Previous films by Tarantino include Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Jackie Brown, and Inglourious Basterds.

Tarantino’s next project was revealed earlier this month. He will be teaming again with Christoph Waltz, for a project called The Hateful Eight. According to Variety, The Hateful Eight is a Western featuring the Oscar winner.
