Republican Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, who is emerging as a popular GOP candidate for the 2016 presidential election, called former president Bill Clinton's actions "predatory behavior."
Paul made these remarks in an attempt to counter the Democrats' efforts to label the Republican Party as being opposed to women receiving equal rights, according to MercuryNews.
Paul was referring to the sex scandal where Bill Clinton was caught cheating on his wife, Hillary Clinton, with Monica Lewinsky, a White House intern. He went on to say that Clinton "took advantage of a girl that was 20 years old" and that "there is no excuse for that."
Paul clarified that he doesn't believe the former president's actions are Hillary's fault, but he went on to say that "sometimes it's hard to separate one from the other," according to LATimes.
Paul is expected to possibly face Hillary in the 2016 presidential election since she is the heavy favorite to win the Democratic nomination after President Barack Obama finishes his second term.
