Reese Witherspoon has dropped out of the upcoming film, The Intern.
The Nancy Meyers’ project had Witherspoon attached as its main star and now the project is searching for another actress.
The Warner Bros film was set to star Robert De Niro and Witherspoon.
Variety reported that scheduling was the main issue for Witherspoon regarding working on this project.
Sources close to the film are saying that Kristen Wig could be a possible replacement for Witherspoon but no offer to anyone has been made to replace the Walk The Line star.
The Daily Mail reported that The Intern was set to start shooting this month and was looking for a early 2015 release date.
This is not the first change to the film, originally the film was set to star Michael Caine and Tina Fey, but due to budget issues the studio put the film in to turnaround. The movie was repackaged and got studio attention with Witherspoon and De Niro attached to the project.
