In its second weekend, Ride Along doesn't appear to be slowing down and the lone new wide release film of the weekend I, Frankenstein has offered little to no competition.

Lionsgate's new film, starring Aaron Eckhart, stumbled in its first full day of release, pulling in $2.8 million on Friday, reports Variety.

Estimates for weekend gross for the big screen adaptation of Kevin Grevioux's graphic novel are a miserable $10 million. The movie reportedly cost Lakeshore $85 million to finance.

Meanwhile, holdovers Ride Along and Lone Survivor, both Universal films, remain steady, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Kevin Hart and Ice Cube comedy vehicle earned $6.3 million on Friday. The Mark Wahlberg war film followed behind with $3.6 million.

Ride Along is looking at a projected $20.5 million for the weekend, which would put the film at a domestic box office total if about $74.7 million. Lone Survivor is entering its third week and has been expanded to 3,160 screens from 2,989. The Peter Berg-directed film has already grossed $79.6 million.

Oscar-nominated Dallas Buyers Club more than doubled its screens this weekend and grossed about $544,000. The drama is projected to earn about $2.1 million.
