Ringo Starr has been in the news lately thanks to the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ arrival in the U.S., so it’s the perfect time to head out on the road again. Starr will take his All Starr Band on the road again, enlisting the same group of musicians he had with him in 2012.
The group includes Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rollie, Steve Lukather, Richard Page and Gregg Bissonette, reports USA Today. “I love playing with this band. And I can't wait to get back out and play with them again,” Starr said in a statement.
The summer touring schedule starts on June 6 with a date in Ontario. Other key dates that month include two shows at New York’s Beacon Theater on June 17 and June 18 and a show at the Chicago Theater on June 28.
In July, the “Photograph” singer heads out west for dates in Dallas, San Jose, San Diego, Albuquerque and Vancouver. The tour ends on July 19 at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre.
Starr has been busy with Beatles celebrations, playing with Paul McCartney at the Grammys on Sunday night. Rolling Stones reports that Starr joined McCartney to sing “With A Little Help From My Friends” at the Beatles tribute show Monday night.
The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles airs on CBS on Feb. 9.
