Police have released more information and a possible motive for a fatal shooting that took the life of one motorist off the Las Vegas Strip.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, authorities said Wednesday that the deadly shooting could have been the result of road rage or an “earlier incident” between the motorists.
The Associated Press has reported that as of Wednesday no one has come forth just yet with information that could lead to the shooter’s identity. That leaves investigators who are trying to piece together a theory, with little to go on.
"All we know is there was some kind of altercation, and the next thing there was gunfire," Steiber said of the shooting on Tuesday.
Cleottus Harvey, 26, was shot to death while he sat at a red light in the center lane on Tropicana Avenue.
Police believe after some type of argument, the driver of the dark color car next to him pulled out a handgun and began firing. Cleottus had two small children in the backseat of the Buick he was driving.
The victim was taken to University Medical Center and died later. The children were not injured.
