Rob Thomas honored his Sidewalk Angels Foundation this past weekend. This is the celebrity’s third year playing benefit concerts at Atlantic City’s Borgata Casino Music Box. The benefit shows were from Jan. 17 – Jan. 19.
The former Matchbox Twenty singer founded the Sidewalk Angels Foundation with his wife, Marisol, who recently told The Hollywood Reporter, “The Borgata offered us the yearly spot. It’s wonderful: My husband gets to do what he loves to do, and we get to raise a great amount of money and awareness for our foundation.” Thomas will also play benefit concerts at the Fantasy Springs Casino in California and the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Ontario, Canada.
This is the 10th anniversary for Sidewalk Angels Foundation. Sidewalk Angels is an umbrella organization that provides resources for causes ranging from no-kill animal shelters to childhood health and wellness organizations. According to Variety, Thomas has been glad to support these causes over time. In years past, he provided information about Sidewalk Angels Foundation to fans with his holiday tune, “Christmas in New York.”
