Sacha Baron Cohen has entered into early talks to join the cast of Disney’s sequel to Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass.
It is rumored that Cohen will be playing a villain in the upcoming sequel but no other details about the characters have been announced.
The sequel will be the follow up to Tim Burton's take on Alice in Wonderland which featured Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. Depp will be returning for Through The Looking Glass, Variety reported.
Mia Wasikowska will also be returning for the lead role of Alice in the upcoming project will be directed by The Muppets director, James Bobin.
Not much is known about the upcoming sequel other than a release date of May 27, 2016.
Deadline added that this will not be the first time that Depp and Cohen have teamed up. The duo worked together on Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Street. That project was also directed by Burton who helmed the first Wonderland film for Disney.
Cohen is known for his unique choices when it comes to acting, his roles have ranged from Borat to Les Miserables.
