This past year, Samsung has been upgrading its TVs in competition with Panasonic and C Seed. While Panasonic and C Seed have been enlarging their TVs in size and price, Samsung came out with a 110-inch HD TV that is selling for $150,000 in South Korea, according to Fox News. The size matches that of a king-sized bed, measuring 2.6 meters by 1.8 meters with a resolution of 3840-by-2160 pixels. The screen is created with OLED which Fox News described as having clearer quality and deeper color saturation than LCD TVs.
But Panasonic and C Seed have created larger TVs. Time said that Panasonic's 152-inch TV exceeded Samsung's price to $500,000, while C Seed's outdoor 201-inch TV sold for $655,000, replete with a retractable screen. In contrast, Samsung's earlier model had measured to 85 inches selling for $40,000.
Time said the only drawback to this 110-inch TV lies in its marketability. The average customer will not be able to afford this product, and so far only major companies will be able to buy it. In the meantime, Samsung plans to ship this TV to China, the Middle East and Europe.
