Sara Bareilles is nominated for two major categories during the Sunday night Grammy awards including, Album of the Year for The Blessed Unrest.

Bareilles recently spoke out about her nomination after music fans and critics seemed very surprised that her album would receive a nomination in the album of the year category, Entertainment Weekly reported.

“It just felt like validation, like acceptance," said Bareilles. "I’ve always had the impostor syndrome, like I don’t really belong here, I keep waiting for someone to tap me on the shoulder and be like, ‘Uh, you have to go.’ I think I’m finally relaxing a little bit about that. Love me or hate me, I’ve earned my place here. That’s how it feels. I think I’d be doing this whether I was able to be a Grammy nominee or not. This is the reason I think I got a turn on the Earth."

Bareilles also opened up about the rivalry between her and Katy Perry with HLN. She said that she and the "Roar" singer and friends and that both parities will be cheering the other on at the Grammy awards this year.
