Ten bodies of the 32 presumed dead have been recovered from a burned down retirement home in Quebec. Due to the weather, authorities have been forced to postpone the search.

A massive fire took over the three-story building Thursday in L’Isle-Verte. Only two of the victims have been formally identified, AOL reports. Numerous search teams have been looking through the ruins in extremely cold temperatures to find the 32, now 22, missing.

The wreckage is now completely covered in snow and ice, making the search much harder. Most of the residents of this retirement home were over 85 and used wheelchairs and walkers.

According to Bangor Daily News, officials have been using steam machines to melt the ice off the wreckage. In some areas, the buildup of snow is as thick as two feet. Due to this weather, the search has been placed on hold. The search will continue when the weather clears up.

A Sunday afternoon Mass was planned so residents in L’Isle-Verte can grieve together and mourn those who have died. Friends and relatives have been invited to bring photos of the victims to the service.
