A blogger named Beautiful Existence, 40, set out on the task of eating only Starbucks products for all of 2013 and she succeeded – even sticking to the diet for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The mother of two, who still cooked regular food for her children, ate at Starbucks or other coffee houses like Roy Street Coffee, Tazo Tea and Evolution Fresh every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She spent anywhere from $500-600 each month.
On her blog, she talked about her reasoning for completing the 365-day challenge, pointing out that men have done this with both McDonald’s and Subway.
“Well Mr. McDonald’s already proved that question years ago with his documentary and Mr. Subway did his take on the loosing weight portion of the food challenges too. But when I watched those guys doing their thing I asked myself ‘where are the WOMEN challenging themselves in the world?’” she wrote.
“’Where are the effects being shown on a woman’s culture? A woman’s family & children? A woman’s diet, weight, fashion, checkbook, community and world through challenges?’ ‘Where is HER VOICE on how an international company is directly or indirectly impacting everything from her waistline to her bottom line and every other woman’s, man’s, child’s, societies and planets world with their presence?’”
Existence told Daily News that towards the end of her challenge, she was definitely ready to be done with it.
"I'm happy to be able to eat whatever I want (again),” she said.
