On January 4, 2014, Snoop Lion released the video for his song, 'Get Away' featuring Angela Hunter. The song is a track from his Grammy-nominated crossover album, Reincarnated.

The video, which was directed by Ashten Winger, is a tribute to old, pixelated video games. In the video, Snoop teams up with Major Lazer, who also happens to be the producer of the track, in order to overcome obstacles in order to win the game and “get away.” They battle tanks and robocops in order to fulfill their quest, and wind up going against a massive pair of speakers in order to obtain a victorious end. Mykola Dosenko was responsible for the animations in the video and did a very good job at displaying what a real, classic video game looks like.

Anybody who follows Major Lazer's productions will immediately know that this is one of the group's creations, which isn't a bad thing; they're a very talented group. However, this song didn't catch me like the beats of their others. One bad break isn't bad though. Nonetheless, the video is very entertaining and brings back memories of a simpler time in the video game world where all a player had to worry about was making it to the next level, rather than whether or not the game would drive them to want to steal a car afterwards.
