Land Ho!, an adventure comedy, will be distributed by Sony Pictures Classics. The film premiered on Jan. 19 at Sundance.

Land Ho! is directed by Martha Stephens and Aaron Katz. The movie follows brothers making their way through Iceland. The film stars Paul Eenhoorn, recently seen in This is Martin Bonner, and Earl Lynn Nelson.

Land Ho! is the first movie to be financed by Gamechanger, a new company launched last fall to finance films directed or co-directed by women. According to Variety, Gamechanger was founded by documentary producers Julie Parker Benello, Dan Cogan, Geralyn Dreyfous, and Wendy Ettinger. The company plans to only finance fictional narrative films. Mynette Louie is the president of the organization.

Ettinger told Variety, “The story that we all kept hearing was this disparity of opportunity for women in the field. So it’s essentially trying to correct that.”

Director Martha Stephens has taken on film projects in the past. Previous credits include Pilgrim Song and Passenger Pigeons. Land Ho! will be released later this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
